RANAU, Feb 26 (Bernama) -- Bank Pertanian Malaysia Bhd (Agrobank) has
expanded its network of branches with the opening of a new facility at
Ranau, near the foothills of Mount Kinabalu.

The opening of the branch in Sabah is also in line with meeting the
needs of its growing number of customers throughout the country.
It is also part of Agrobank's commitment to provide modern banking
services for the rural community, particularly in agricultural areas
such as Ranau district.
At the same time, the Ranau branch is strategically located and the town
is a major stopover for vehicles going to Tawau, Semporna, Lahad Datu
and Sandakan.
The branch opening was officiated by the state Minister of Tourism,
Culture and Environment as well as the state assemblyman for Karanaan
(Ranau), Datuk Masidi Manjun yesterday.
Also present was the President/ Agrobank Chief Executive Officer Datuk
Wan Mohd Fadzmi and the Ranau District Officer, Faimin Kamin.
According to Wan Mohd Fadzmi, the opening of new branches was
implemented in stages and at strategic locations to ensure strong growth
from the aspect of banking operations, while aimed at the growing
target groups throughout the country.
The Ranau Agrobank branch which operates from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm from
Monday to Friday, offers various financial services alongside banking,
deposit and loan facilities, insurance coverage as well as ATM and
cheque deposit machines (CDMs).
