KOTA KINABALU: Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Bhd (MIDF) will provide free health checks at its booth during the Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia 2012 (MSAM), which started yesterday and be open until April 28.
MIDF is working closely with Sabah Health Deparment (Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Sabah) to bring about this corporate social responsibility initiative.
The health department will conduct complimentary health checks for all visitors to MSAM between 9am and 5pm for the entire duration of this annual event.
"We tend to take our health for granted. So, it would be a good idea to provide this free service since MSAM will be attracting a large number of visitors," said MIDF's group managing director Datuk Mohd Najib Abdullah in a statement.
This year, MIDF wanted to make a difference to more members of the public, hence the idea of providing a health check counter service for the visitors of MSAM.
In addition, MIDF is also contributing school-related items to 111 primary school children from around Kota Kinabalu.
Visitors of MSAM from the age of 18 and above can go to the MIDF booth for the complimentary health check at Kompleks Sukan Kota Ki-nabalu here.
