KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 13 (Bernama) -- Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Bhd
(Bank Rakyat) Masjid Tanah branch in Melaka is operating as usual today
despite an attempt to break into its automated teller machine (ATM)
yesterday.
The bank had received endorsement from a qualified structural engineer
that the bank's premises was safe for banking and financial operations.
The bank said customers can do all transactions on the first floor
except the Al-Rahnu Islamic pawnbroking scheme transactions which would
only start st 2 pm today.
Cash withdrawals from the ATM would start tomorrow, it said in a statement.
The bank apologised for the temporary setback as repair work was in progress for customers' convenience.
