The SGSP, launched in 1982, currently stands at RM260 million. Adinan
said the savings for the SGSP for the first eleven months of this year
reached RM86 million.
"For this year, more than 3,800 schools with 400,000 students from all
over the country, participated in the SGSP competition at the national
level," he told reporters at a ceremony to present cash to winners of
the SGSP.
This year, the national level SGSP competition offered cash prizes of
more than RM180,000 with 70 prizes covering two key categories, that is
individuals and schools.
Adinan said BSN was also targeting an increase of 50 per cent involvement of students in the SGSP for 2013.
