Chairman Datuk Azizan Abdul Rahman said THHE has become the third company in Malaysia to purchase Manitowoc cranes.
"We are proud to take ownership of these RM30 million cranes that will
put us in the Malaysian and world map and THHE will be able to provide
our clients with the best equipment," Azizan said in a statement here
Thursday.
The Manitowoc cranes use an electronic system that maximises a crane's
capability and simplifies servicing by pinpointing any problem in the
crane's engine, power transmission and other operating systems.
The cranes will enable THHE to increase their output and services without relying on third-party services, he said.
THHE, whose core business is in the fabrication of offshore oil and gas facilities, was listed on Bursa Malaysia in 2005.
