KOTA KINABALU, Sept 5 (Bernama) -- Bank Rakyat Sabah Region today
handed over RM28,800 in zakat to the needy in the state at a Hari Raya
function at its premises in Harbour City near here.
Bank Rakyat Sabah Regional Head Redzuan Yaakob presented the zakat to
orphans in Kota Kinabalu (RM10,000), the Anak Kesayangan home (RM5,000),
Masjid Nurul Hidayah in Kampung Bangka-Bangka (RM5,000) and Sekolah
Kebangsaan (SK) Buang Sayang (RM8,800).
He also presented football jerseys to SK Inanam 2 and Sekolah Agama
Rakyat Sembulan as well as a computer from Yayasan Bank Rakyat to SK
Kolombong.
The contributions are part of Bank Rakyat's continued efforts to
advance educational development and to reach out the wider community.
