KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Rakyat appointed Datuk Yusof Abdul Rahman as managing director, effective July 1, 2012, replacing Datuk Kamaruzaman Che Mat who opted for early retirement early this year.

Yusof, 56, started his banking career in 1980 with Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Bhd
and joined Bank Rakyat in 2000 as sectoral head, human resource
development, and moved up the ranks thereafter. His last position was
that of senior general manager for corporate services, a post he held
for two years, before he was appointed acting managing director. -
