KOTA BAHARU: Kelantan Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) is expanding its programme to encourage public premises especially sundry shops to become registered agents with the bank.
BSN Kelantan branch director, Mohd Azian Abu Samah, said the move is in line with the bank's objective as a community bank that focuses on local residents.
He said since its introduction last June, the bank now has 148 Registered Bank Agents in Kelantan and recorded 91,000 transactions worth RM7.97 million.
Speaking to reporters after the launch of Registered Banking Agent programme with the community, here today, he said the figure is part of 4,000 Registered Banking Agents nationwide targeted until end of this year.
"Among the services provided at the initial stage are deposit, withdrawal, bill payment, buying premium savings certificate, and non-cash payment," he said.
Mohd Azian said BSN will continue to be progressive to empower initiatives covering finance for all levels of the community and is always committed to provide quality and more efficient services to customers and the people.
