KOTA KINABALU, July 17 (Bernama) -- A total of 953,136 Tabung Haji
depositors have registered for the haj pilgrimage this year with 25,282
of them from Sabah.
Minister in the Chief Minister's Department Datuk Nasir Tun Sakaran
said Tabung Haji currently had about 7.7 million depositors with Sabah
residents accounting for 359,153 of them.
"As of June, 427 depositors from the state have been selected for the
pilgrimage this year and the figure is expected to rise in the near
future," he said replying to a question from Datuk Syed Abas Syed Ali
(BN-Balung), at the State Assembly sitting, here Tuesday.
