KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 (Bernama) -- Tabung Haji (TH) is a role model for
foreign Islamic organisations due to its excellence as Malaysia's
largest Islamic funds manager, Minister in Prime Minister's Department
Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom said Saturday.

"This is proven by the presence of many foreign government
representatives interested in Tabung Haji's management and investment
models and numerous congratulatory messages from leaders, including from
Saudi Arabia," he said at a function in conjunction with its 50th
anniversary celebrations here this evening.
Also present were Minister in Prime Minister's Department Senator Datuk
Seri Abdul Wahid Omar, TH chairman Tan Sri Abi Musa Asa'ari Mohamed Nor
and TH Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Datuk Paduka
Ismee Ismail.
Jamil Khir advised TH personnel to preserve and strengthen the organisation in order to maintain its excellent performance.
He launched TH's new logo and golden jubilee time capsule with a
message from himself, Abi Musa Asa'ari and Ismee to the TH leadership,
management and personnel in 2038.
Nine staff received excellence awards from Ismee during the function.
Several programmes such as hajj and photography exhibitions at the
Islamic Art Museum, Quran recital at Masjidil Haram, special Friday
prayers at 50 selected mosques nationwide will held throughout the
jubilee celebrations.
