Kuala Selangor Police chief Supt Mohd Taib Ahmad, when contacted, said
the attempt was made after 1.30 am and was detected by a bank customer
who had wanted to withdraw some money at 7.48 am.
He said a police team did not find anything unusual at 1.30 am during a patrol.
Mohd Taib said two burnt holes indicated that an oxy-acetylene flame
was used on the metal door and there was an attempt to prise open the
door.
The closed circuit television (CCTV) camera had black tape stuck over it, he added.
"The money in the ATM was intact," he said.
